Triangulation is the art of estimating an unknown position by measuring the bearing and/or distance of two or more locations. This technique has been used for thousands of years and has many applications ranging from estimating the position of spacecrafts to finding the epicenter of an earthquake, locating distress beacon signals, and is also used in land navigation to estimate one's location.
The goal of this web application is to allow users to draw digital triangulation lines on a map (from a real compass reading) without having to actually use a physical map and markers. By enabling users to also use GPS location, as well as using reverse geocoding to determine the nearest known address of a particular location, this app is very flexible and can have many different uses for emergency services and any other organization.
